When I had terribly boring lectures, I would either take tons of notes--that just kept the pen moving--or I would pretend to be listening while doing homework for another class. I used to have a professor who had a funny walking pattern in front of the lecture hall. He would walk to one side more than the other. So my friend and I drew a diagram and marked his path! It kept it interesting for a little, at least. I would also "reward" myself for going to a boring class--I would get a large vanilla or caramel latte and enjoy while I was trying to pay attention. Good Luck!

Good for you that at least you are going to the class and trying to pay attention! Keep it up, it will be worth it in the end.

Get a PDA. Borrow one, steal one, whatever and play games on it.

I'm sure you got other classes. DO your homework in those classes.

When I was a student, a lady would knit during lecture. She sat in the back and knitted the whole time.

Then again, if you're a dude, knitting might seem a little odd. Or gay.

I take food with me or you can try changing every other word the teacher says into a different language that you know and finally the old rubber band snap on the wrist when you start to doze off.

Try chewing gum, or taking peppermints in you backpack, professors have found that if a student is in a class and has a peppermint in their mouth they remember the information longer, get better testing scores and stay awake.

Hope it helps, it worked for me.

Don't bother goin. why waste your time sitting in lecture theatre if your not going to pay attention.

OR bring a tape recorder, OR chew gum that always keeps me awake in lectures

draw a set of eyes on your eyelids. when it gets boring, feel free to fall asleep. you are asleep, but your instructor would think you are awake. but don't you dare drool or else, YOU ARE OUT!!!
