I am a math teacher teaching a class of students interested in career change. I'm trying to teach the appropriate math skills necessary for most job applications.

the job applications do not contain math tests, but prior to hiring they give a series of skill tests..
accounting and bookkeeping firms, retail stores and gas stations, any type of business that employee will be handling cash, or bookkeeping...
a good research assignment for your students is to research all types of business and find out what skills are needed for job titles..this is good for them to learn first hand, good writing skills and organizing a research project..

i know the Budweiser plant in my community gave a math test for part of the initial interview process; so did the new Toyo plant, which makes parts for engines and such (i think)

Be patent, you deffenetly were given perfect job for your self, each and every organisation have there own circumstances, in case you want to take a even as. in case you perfect for them then settle for you as in preserving with their criteria. so we cool and relax.....
