I think it should, but it depends on the teacher or the school's grading policy =)

Yes, absolutely. If you are failing tests or a quiz
or you did not do a project, handing in homework that gets points will pull up your grade, considering the homework is done right. If you don't do the home work correctly or it is not handed in, then points should be taken off your grade. This is the best way for a teacher to find out if you have been paying attention in class and that you learned something.

Nope, homework isn't counted as a grade at my college. i imagine the reason being that it's not counted for a grade, is because you may want to probable get help from a chum outdoors of faculty, if it became graded and that does no longer be your artwork. yet an additional reason i imagine it really is not graded is because in case you had a learn e book you may want to locate the solutions in, a student might want to cheat out of it in the adventure that they did not learn the section in that unit, hence it does no longer be there grade.

Homework completion is a measure of work and participation in the education process. It also measures ability to learn on your own and ability to communicate what has been learned. These are important factors in an education, and grading the homework tells not only the teacher, but you yourself, how well you are doing - what your strengths and weaknesses are. But if you don't give a rat's @ss, don't do your homework.

I think homework should not be counted as a grade, but there should be consequences for not turning it in on time.

Absolutely. It's a win/win situation. Unlike a test, the student can get a high grade with access to all info and tutoring right in front of him/her AND the drill of homework guarantees a higher test grade.

Yes, homework helps to teach a student what they are learning. Plus, there will always be homework and it prepares them for higher grades and college.
