A good player below 100 dollars is the creative Zen V.It has a one gig capacity and a nice 1.5 inche colour screen.It is small , about the size of a box of tic tacs so you can put in your pocket.It has a battery rating of around 14 hours.creative has been known to make good mp3 players and this is no exception.it is perfect for people who just want to play thier mp3's or subscription service music(wma)

If you mean to buy a second-hand, ask the owner for a test drive(listen) and then take it to the company's dealer to analyze it.
