I use a mooncup.

At first I found it hard getting the position right, but once you get the hang, you shouldn't feel it.

Also at first, I shot it across the bathroom a couple of times...use it at home until you're comfortable with it.

You also need to have something close by to rinse it with - if you are somewhere that doesn't have a sink by the toilet, take a bottle of water into the loo with you.

You change it as often as you would change a tampon.

The only major down side, is that it takes a bit of getting used to...especially getting it back out...and it can be pretty messy - it's certainly not for people who are squeamish about periods.

Get one - give it a go - and good luck...glad to hear you're doing something good for the environment, and it will save loads of money in the long term.

I tried the disposable "Instead" menstrual cup. I couldn't get it to seat properly behind my pelvic bone & eventually gave up. But the design of the Moon Cup is different, so you may have an ok time with it.

Can't face it. Everyone says it's great, but how can I stand in the office loos swishing it out under the tap and not feel embarrassed?
