An ovarian cyst has tricked many a girl into thinking that she is pregnant. What will happen is that, most likely, your cyst will burst later on down the line and it will hurt, you may have some serious cramping or feel like you need to go potty really bad but can't. Usually a cyst is nothing to worry about and doctor's don't do anything about them anyway. However, a bad one may cause some internal bleeding and that can be dangerous and very painful. The only problem is, you don't know for sure unless you've had one before and recognize what they feel like.

Go to your ob/gyn. Get a pregnancy test. It sounds like you have a hormonal imbalance. You can have two periods in one month, or you can go a few months without having one. My cousin had that problem and she wasn't pregnant. The doctor said it was stress related, and she eventually got her period. But do those two things so you can know, the doctors need to know that honey. don't delay that.

It depends on what has caused the cyst on your ovary and what type of cyst you have. Your doctor should be monitoring you to see if it goes away. If it doesn't he may want to start you on meds or do surgery. It can cause many things including missed periods.
