I'd have to say seeing the ancient city of Pompeii since I moved here to Italy. We've traveled all over Europe since we've been stationed here, but that particular place is just amazing. It's thousands of years old, it was buried under volcano ash forever, and yet, much of it still remains just as it did when the wealthy Romans vacationed there and occupied it thousands of years ago. Paintings still hang there on the walls, and even some of the people and animals were actually preserved the way they died from the volcano eruption in 79 A.D. (Mostly because they were buried in the ash) It's sad and interesting. You get kind of an eerie feeling when you walk through there.

A street magician comes to mind. Donkeys years ago now. Although I have been blessed to see a great many "cool" things in a long and eventful life.
To this day I have absolutely NO idea how he did some of that stuff.
Extraordinary would be too small a word.

Same here, first time i saw someone play the guitar and sing amazing lyrics along with it all at once. That happened to me when i saw the video for "Here Is Gone" by The Goo Goo Dolls for the first time...it blew me away and still does today.

a moose was charging me and my friends and my pit bull ran and sat right in front of me and barked and chased the moose away from me. she got kicked in the side, but she saved my butt! also, i have been about 10 feet above 6 or 7 alaskan grizzly bears as they ate salmon out of the stream. that was pretty cool.
