Okay so I have an 8-10 page exposition paper due in a couple of weeks. Can anyone think of any great topics that will be easy to research but still be interesting? The sources have to be scholarly so it's can't be anything too curent. Thanks for any input.

I read an excellent exposition on an attitude to living & eating in a healthy manner recently. I don't think it went for 8 pages though.
There's lots of sites, etc. that could be used for research on this.

Need a good topic?

First, think about what you are most interested in? What do you spend a lot of time talking about? Especially things that interest you and the rest of the world does not spend much attention on.
Make a written list of these topics. It does not need to be neat.

Second, pretend you are a reporter for your favorite newpaper, or magazine, or even an anchor person for a TV station. Which of your topics has flash and interest. What might lend itself to an exciting presentation. You have a shorter list.

Third, think about your teacher and school. Are there topics on your list that should be crossed off because they are unacceptable, or off the topic of the assignment?
You may have a few left to choose from, or you may have to start over again.

Exposition means to explain or present. Textbooks do it in a complete but dull way. News media does it in a way that grabs you, but is always too short to be complete. You will get the best results if you work with material you are interested in, a message you want to get across, and you catch the reader's interest.
Good luck

An exposition of what? Literature? An event?
