It simple. Because they find it much much easier to call you a name than to engage you in an intelligent conversation or debate.

Well, I am a conservative and I would not use a label like that on anyone. I would hope that you are capable of thinking for yourself and making your own educated decisions about the issues at hand. Whether or not you agree with me, you have the right to your opinion. People sometimes get angry when they are challenged, but that is normally only when they are insecure, or when they are attacked. If you treat me with respect, I will treat you with respect. And any dialogue we have will be even more interesting if we don't agree on everything! ;-)

Webster's definition: a movement in modern Protestantism emphasizing intellectual liberty and the spiritual and ethical content of Christianity b : a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on free competition, the self-regulating market, and the gold standard c : a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties d capitalized : the principles and policies of a Liberal party
Today's liberalism doesn't support maybe one of the things mentioned in this definition.
Again in Websters - communism: a theory advocating elimination of private property b : a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed
2 capitalized a : a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics b : a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production c : a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably d : communist systems collectively
The actions of present day liberalism reflects more this definition than the other.
There ya go, no "angry dialog". Just a plain old answer to your question.

Easy, Woody. You've just fallen into the same trap lumping "far right wing" with "Christian". I am neither, but you don't help your fellow liberals when you use the same tactics as they do.
BTW, the answer is because they are threatened by social progress, and even though McCarthyism was eventually discredited, they haven't come up with another equally villainous moniker for us, so they just go back to the old standard.

I guess you just answered your own question.
Communism, Liberalism and socialism are all very related.
Think about it all three believe the government knows best.
The same govt you are saying is incompetent. Do you want
Government in charge.
The first two believe in driving Christianity out of existence.
All three have produced either poor corrupt countries, or
mediocre performance at best.
Why do you think America is the greatest country on the face of
the earth throughout history. Freedom/Capitalism
Look at China since adapting Capitalism or some version of it.
All three are counter productive to capitalism.
I am sure there are even more commonalities.
Do me a favor find Alec Baldwin and move to either Canada like he said he was, or you can go to Mexico. Implement your CLS there we will monitor from here.
Give us an update in 50 years.

Not all far right wingers are Christians. All liberals however are out of their mind, thus the term Mindless Liberals. You are upset by what you view as an untrue term then you go on to make an untrue term yourself. Good libbie! Always lying and bending the truth.
In regards to Communism and Liberalism, there's many commonalities that are just begging to be found. Google it yourself and you just might LEARN something.

If violence is the last resort of the incompetent, then name-calling must be the next to last, no matter which side one is on.

You said or did something that didn't sit well with the asker. That is unfortunate because this is not the place for name caliing and labeling, this a place where I thought we were to share information and opinions.

Because, Woody, many liberals ARE mindless commies. Now, to be fair, there are also many conservative bigots.
There is nothing wrong with questioning our government. However, many from the left side of the spectrum who do so simply repeat the same things over and over and over and...well, you get the picture.
Sure, both sides do it. But the majority on here IS liberal (though there are many conservatives), and I'm sure the conservatives get tired of reading the same questions and answers over and over and over and...
