Believe it or not, cats/kittens like to chew on greenery. Be aware though, some plants are safe and some can make them real sick or even kill them so be careful which plants are within their reach.

One thing that sometimes helps is to go to a good pet store. Most good stores carry a type of grass seed that you can plant in a container to grow, strictly for the cat to chew on. They love it!

Many time this will help to "get it out of their system" and preclude them from chewing on your other plants.

Hope this helps.

I'm still having a hard time keeping our cat out of the plants! They say to use a squirt bottle filled with water since most cats/kittens don't like the water.

I have 3 cats - I place empty soda/beer bottles inside the rim of the pots. I also used crsuhed/flattened aluminum cans if the area in the pot is too small to place bottles. Cats won't stand on the bottles/cans, yet you can still water the plants.

Aluminum foil around the base of the plants will help. You can eventually remove it when your kitten loses interest in your plants.

I think it's impossible unless you keep the plants in a room with the door shut so the cat can't get in. I can't keep my roomate's cat out of anything without shutting it my room and keeping the door closed all day.

The only thing that worked fo rme was ROCK...

I had to put rocks in ALL my plants. Rocks that are 1 to 2 inches in diameter.((bigger the better)) It worked but not soon enough... they still killed numerous plants due to being too lazy to walk over to the litter box !

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!

Put some black pepper around the plant, cats hate pepper.

you could try covering the soil and rim of the pot with aluminum foil

it may look silly for a while but supposedly they don't like the feel of it on their paws and eventually will avoid it
