A pair of casual dress pants or suit pants with a matching or contrasting casual 1 or 2 button blazer, a long sleeve button down shirt (leave the neck unbuttoned) and a good pair of leather loafers is always stylish and appropriate in most settings.

Some restaurants even require a suit jacket depending on where you are going.

Good luck, have fun and remember "A lady always prefers a gentleman".

Need more info -- how old are you? where are you going? what's the woman like? what's your usual 'style'?

You're aiming for something that looks like you put some effort into it, but haven't gone over the top. Something that fits you well and you feel comfortable in, including sitting down. And make sure it's all clean and not wrinkled. If you have time and a barber you trust, get a haircut -- subtle but makes a difference.

A pressed white shirt and new(ish) jeans are a classic. Or a coloured shirt if that suits your personality better. Bottom line is you need to be yourself -- you can't wear a costume all the time.

You are very nice and you have a lot of confidence. Every day in General music it put a smile on my face when I saw you. Your really hot. If I was able to rate your looks and attitude from a scale of 1 to 10 I would give you a 20.

mmmm I don't know whats your style, but a white formal shirt with informal blue/black jeans make the perfect convination. Make sure the shirt has no wrinkles and use appropriate shoes, no snickers OK. Good luck in your date and remember to make your personality shine, that's what will say about you the most.

I'd say just some jeans and your nicest looking shirt, or something button-up or polo like that guy above me said, don't tuck it in. If it's formal, maybe something dark. Try it if you want.
