The Irish will tell you that Merlin stole it from them with his magic. The Druids say it's theirs. But scientists think it's older than either of these. Probably built by neolithic man in the late stone age. It works as an astrological calendar, so it was likely used for determining when to plant and harvest, although it could also have religious overtones. But then, scientists always ascribe 'religious' and 'ceremonial' meanings to anything they don't understand.

well, the Druids built it with he help of the aliens, to help the aliens land their spacecraft more efficiently......or was it an ancient observatory, to look at the stars, and see which aliens were coming NEXT!?
