In the name of defending certain rights, they are a group that forgot to think about right and wrong. Even if you spout that you are for what is right in liberty, you do not defend groups that are about nothing but wrong such as NAMBLA, illegal aliens, and various individuals or organizations with illegal motives.

I like to think that they have good intentions, but you know what they say about good intentions: The road to Hell is paved with them!
They are discriminatory. There was a case awhile back of a school district which was forced to teach evolution. So they told the schoolchildren that the theory had not been proven, and that they should keep an open mind.
The ACLU sued them, because apparently telling children to keep an open mind is not allowing for a separation of church and state.
This is just one case among many.
I can't stand the ACLU. Some of the groups they defend so rigorously are immoral. I can't agree with an organization like that.

A group formed in the 1930's originally under the direction of and financing from the KGB. The original group of Lawyers were Communists. The purpose of the ACLU has been and still remains to slowly erode faith in the US Govt. and American society as a whole by using our "Rights" against us.
In it's current role the ACLU is trying to bestow Geneva Convention rights on Terrorists. The Geneva Convention only protects "Uniformed Soldiers" of a country. If a soldier from a combatant country is captured in civilian garb or in clothing that does not clearly identifying him as a soldier, he may be shot as a spy and is afforded no protections. This was done in an attempt to protect both the soldiers involved and innocent civilians. The Terroists we are fighting do not represent a country and wear no uniform. Therefore they have no status according to the Geneva Convention.

ACLU defends people and ideas that I often despise. This is needed with our system. Everybody needs a voice and a defense. So I may not like the ACLU, I respect it.

Pretty much the same opinion I hold about all organizations that engage in the covert undermining of our Constitution and attempt to convert the entire USA to communism.

They should ... be given the Nobel Peace Prize
... all be given free trips to Hawaii
... allowed to rule over the entire world
Geesh you people are mean. If the government was stacked against you (ie: you were a minority) you'd have some kind of institution looking out for your rights.
The beginning of this video proves a nice little point:

They operate within the law to protect civil liberties. I don't always agree with their actions but to be quite frank, their actions are often mis-reported.

Founded by a communist. Has spent more time fighting against religion in public and for a coarser and more perverted society and for criminals than it has spent in protecting our rights.
Even worse is that we actually pay for them to do this with our taxes.
