Has anyone tried this. I've heard that the results of being a pre-paid legal agent can be pretty lucrative, and my friends are trying to get me to be a part of it. However, I was wondering what the results are if people cancel their memberships. Does that affect my pay? Do I have to pay back the money given to me from the company if that should happen?

I was a Pre-Paid Legal Associate for a couple of years. There is some money to be made. However, there is a difficulty. The Pre-Paid Legal concept is a good concept. It is good to have a Pre-Paid Legal membership. Convincing people that it is a good thing is a different story. Many people feel that they are good people and that they would never need the services of an attorney. This is the difficult piece to get over.

Concerning people cancelling their memberships -- Since your initial commission is an accumulation of the first year's actuals, if somebody cancels during the first year, you get what is called a chargeback. It reduces your commission. It only affects your future commission. That is what happened to me. I did sign a few people up and then they cancelled and through my account balance into the negative.

I have since started an energy drink business that has had great reception. I now have a national and international business in the manner of 2 1/2 months. This can be found at http://www.drinkact.com/pktull

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Rip off alert

Once you join it is almost impossible to cancel. They keep billing your credit card and won't stop.

Their service is terrible, everything you really need is not covered, or only a small discount.

Avoid like the plague.
