WOW! So many to chose from. Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, John Saul, R.L. Stine (teenager books but still good), Christopher Pike, Stephen King (of course), Robin Cook. These are some great authors. I love many of there books and I have tried to read them all. I really liked the vampire series and the Mayfair witches by Anne Rice. Anything is good my Koontz and Cook. Stephen King you may have to pick and chose because he gets a little weird and supernatural in his newer books. "It" was be far the best.

Definitely Stephen King, but avoid The Stand, it's awful.
I think the best ones are It and The Shining.

Clive Barker is pretty good too, I think Cabal is ok.

I enjoyed Neil Gaiman too, especially Neverwhere.

If you go for classics, Dracula is excellent, as well as most of Lovecratft's work.

Ok Iris Johansen has some really good thrillers. But if you like a little paranormal mixed with your who-dun-it, check out Kay Hooper. AWESOME! Great writing! Great plots! Great characters! AND she seems to have a great inner-workings knowledge of some pretty scary schtuff! :-) Julie Garwood has some really good thrillers, too.

Any of the early Stephen King books such as Children of the corn, Pet Cemetery, Lost Boys... His later books I feel were written more like screenplays and do not cause that tingling on your scalp like the earlier ones.

If you like vampire stories, along the lines of Anne Rice, you might try "Sunglasses After Dark" by Nancy A. Collins.

HELLO!............Try some Dean Koontz, he is very good at telling a blood curdling story. If I can recommend a few....Twilight Eyes, Intensity,The Door to December. If these interest you,you know by getting one,the entire list is on the inside. HAPPY READ....LATER
