I think I am done on this site fairly soon. The reason for this could be one of two things.

1) The site has changed since growing and now there are far too few people who want serious help and answers, in addition to appreciating wit and good writing done with forethought.

2) The site never had that, and I have been a naive sucker yet again in my life, spending time not on a lost cause, but on a cause that was never there to begin with.

C, I know you didn't mean that, but now I am faced with the fact that why I enjoyed this site is actually a false pretense.

My thoughts exactly.

Yes, shortly I will hit Level 7 and then I think I will be done with it. I am turned off the the Yahoo Team whoever they are, or if they even exist. Been cited twice: one for the wrong reason and the other a dumb reason and both were the dumbest questions of all! I challenged those citations and have never received a word from the so called Yahoo Team which is why I don't believe they exist.
Also, there are a load of just plain dumb stuff taking up space. I initially enjoyed answering legitimate concerns. I may try other categories and give up other categories for a trial. What I have learned on Yahoo to date is:

1. Everyone hates Bush.
2. The spelling and grammar is totally embarrassing to our costly educational process.
3. The youth of America have no interest in anything outside of having bf's and gf's.
4. Sex is the predominent interest in general categories.
5. There are a lot of perverts on board.
6. Lots of adultery going on out there among players...people who belong on the Jerry Springer Show.
7. I wonder if any of these teens on board have parents...if so they have no idea what their kids are doing, thinking, or planning.
They are all out in cyberspace going with "feelings." Their lives are mentally and emotionally choatic. None of them seem to have jobs, chores to do or good grades to work for from what I can see. They seems to lack all the basic knowledge of just about everything. The language they use is foreign to anyone over 25 and they cannot construct an intelligent sentence and I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what they are asking...
Yes, I am quite frustrated at this point. I am not an expert at anything so there are categories I can't help but I have a lifetime of experience with people and have good horse sense as well. I
I'd like to help but I no longer think I am, or can.

With that I think I will go outside and rakes the leaves....it will at least make me feel better about how I am spending my time.

You get a thumbs up for this question. Thanks for letting me unload!.

two many 8 through 12 lids asking how do you make a guy like you, I used to ask a serious question when it started and got lots of good replys that solved my problem, now I get about 2 or 3 and mabbe one is close. I think this site now should be divided up by age groups like 12 and under, 13 to 18, and so on. not like it used to be.

i know you may get frustrated with yahoo questions and answers...i do to...and cause some of the answers people give and the questions are so ridiculous or rude...but i am still going on...i may quit answering for a few days but i am still trying to get to level 7...which by the way is very hard to get there...i will be here know telling how long just to get to level 7...so i think you should stay around and see what you can do to make this more interesting,,,,,maybe take a break then try again...

I think option 1 is a pretty accurate description of most things like Yahoo answers. After a while all the mental children show up with questions about why their partner dumped them. Time consuming to sort through the posts for real questions.

February a million 2006 i found Yahoo! solutions in December 2005. It had in simple terms been released to the regular public (it develop into used in elementary words through Yahoo! paintings force, earlier that), and it develop into in Beta. i did not have some thing to ask and, for some reason, also did not sense like answering so, for almost 2 months, i'd spend hours right here, each day, in elementary words examining. through the time i ultimately keen to hitch, I already knew lots of the first purchasers through call. maximum of them grew to develop into my friends, and many are nevertheless round. i ultimately keen to leap in, and grew to develop right into a member, even as i develop into having problems with both my Gmail and my Yahoo! Mail, and couldn't detect a fashion of fixing the topics myself - which I continually attempt to do, earlier inquiring for help. My first questions were about those emails. i'm no longer one hundred% particular which develop into the first one, yet i imagine it develop into one about my avatar, at my Yahooo!/uk account. i do not keep in mind what develop into my first answer. My first YA account develop into suspended, weeks in the past, so i visit't bypass again there to examine this information for you. YA develop right into a lot relaxing, again then!! We did no longer could be demanding about stalkers, violations, record abuses. It develop into in simple terms asking and answering. And getting to understand large human beings, from worldwide, and making very good friends :)

I've been thinking the same thing. I'm in my 40s and spend more time on this site than I do cleaning house, lol. There used to be some great questions, but we're down to 'am I pregnant', 'do you like my avatar' and 'do you like chocolate chip cookies'. It's gone downhill like a snowball headed for hell.
