Often a song or CD will bring me back to a time when I first heard it, or when I heard it over and over for some reason.
Examples:
1) James Taylor always reminds me of my high school roommate - she got his "best of" cd and played that damn thing NONSTOP for months. I'd go hide out in the library or elsewhere on campus just to escape having to hear those songs for the umpteenth time.
2) Backstreet Boys' Millenium CD reminds me of the Virgin Megastore and our college choir tour in New York City. That was where I got the CD and I listened to it as we drove from tour stop to tour stop on the bus!
3) "My Brave Face" by Paul McCartney and "Big Time" by Peter Gabriel. Both songs remind me of this silly little beanbag chicken my younger brother and I would play with when we were younger. We had a little sombrero we'd put on the chicken's head and we'd make him dance to those songs! Sort of like an impromptu puppet show!

depending on the song it can have a deep impact on my mood. I LOVE music sometimes it just helps me escape from the day to day bulls%$#. Also for some reason I can't clean without music...it seems like I get done faster with it!

It does all kinds of things. Sometimes I am sad and it makes me cry. But usually it just makes me want to get up and move. I have a nice compact little body and lots of rhythm in my soul. Dancing is so sensual and so much fun. I couldn't imagine a world without music and movement.

It changes my emotions or deepens the ones I am carrying at the moment. If I am angry and listen to angry music I feel powerful.if sad and listen to sad music I wallow deeper into the sadness. I happy and listening to uplifting music I can do anything.

If you like music your heart will be soft with full of love. If you dont like music your heart will be like a rock with no love towards anyone.
