The show was ok, but obviously a rip off of the movie The Devil wears Prada that it kinda turned me off. I think that they should start blossoming her soon.

I agree with Sandy and Justin. You cannot make Betty "blossom" first, America is not that beautiful and she is likeable because she is fat and normal. I did notice she was thinner in this episode already....really a let down.
I turned the channel to earl after the lame fat pics were in "The Book" Please, beat a theme to death will you.

the guionist man of the ugly wherever
is a colombian guy called julio G and he works in RCN (a colombian channel like CBS).
betty the ugly had in the world a lot of versions for example the colombian (the first one), mexican, French, Rusia....
even in India.
the tragegy- comedy of the TV novel is not Betty is Betty's friend

Can't say I'll watch the show ever. Sounds too much like a Devil Wears Prada rip off.

This is going to sound chauvanist, but America Ferrera isn't that hot to begin with, so they could only do so much anyway. Can't say much about the show, though.

it's hard to say. i saw a Spanish soap opera with the same name. where the character blossomed towards the end of the series.

i dont think america ferrera is ugly, but she isnt all of the description that u said either. but the show is a little slow, but i might watch it again and see if it gets any better.

I think that's an ugly show. Way too predictable. I couldn't make it thru episdoe 1.
