If the upholstery in the boot is removable, take it out and use a spray-foam carpet cleaner on it. Allow the carpeting to thoroughly dry before setting it back in your car's boot. If it's not removable, set an opened box of bicarbonate of soda in the boot, propped up between two bricks so it doesn't topple over, and leave it there until there's no trace of the odour. You could try spraying un-diluted vinegar, but at this time of the year, rain and cooler temperatures and all, you might find that the moisture causes mould in your boot. If you're living in the UK, I'd probably avoid spraying any liquid substance in the boot. Carpet shampoo and an opened box of bicarb of soda seems best to me.
Good luck!

I spilled 1/2 gallon of milk in the trunk of my car over the summer. OMG!!! I sucked the milk out over and over with a neighbors dry-vac, shampooed, and sprayed an odor neutralizer on in over the course of a few days. Another thing that helped was keeping the windows down, trunk open to let the car air-out whenever possible. Good luck with that!

I know of an 'old wives tale' that is for stale smells in fridge like spilt milk and it is where you put a small amount of bicarbonate of soda in and that should attract to it the foul odours. give it a go.

You can't. Best plan is to take you car boot to a car boot sale and sell it to someone with a poor sense of smell.

put baking soda on it & if that dont work, put some good carpet cleaner liquid on it , work it in good, then use a shop vac to suck it up. but after that, you may want to clean the whole carpet! lol good luck! ps--- leave the soda on for a while, perhaps for 1-hrs or maybe just a little longer. use a car vac to clean up the left over.
