I'd like to think it would work, but where there is a will there's a way...

The real problem is the people who own them. If people would smarten up, then some of the issues might not occur. Take the recent (local to me) school shooting in Essex, VT where a guy walked in looking for his girlfriend and wound up killing two teachers. If his dumb a$$ed friend hadn't willingly loaned him the gun, it is a tragedy that might have been prevented. I still say even though the friend got shot in the end, he should face charges as an accessory.

Gun control is being able to hit your target !!! I think if more kids actually got to see what a gun can do they would have more respect for them and less likely to treat them as if they were toys . I am all for teaching gun safety classes in schools !!!

One tragic challenge about the shootings is that the individuals in Virginia banned the campus police from wearing guns. in addition they outlawed guns for faculty kids. There are places right here in the States that enables hid carry of guns. the individuals ought to bypass a historic past examine and training. the position that's been used it has decrease crime. there is one county in the south that calls for each kin to have a gun. Their crime cost dropped dramatically. there'll be fairly some human beings pushing for a gun ban. they are going to make a row and as a lot information as accessible. the subsequent President shall be a Democrat and they favor to limit guns. there are such fairly some guns round and that's so entrenched that i do no longer understand how they could ban them. the pro Gun stream is so good i don't understand how the country might want to manage it. i imagine that they ought to implement each and every of the gun regulations completely and performance the strictest of obtainable consequences that are truly utilized. I hate to work out such issues as this ensue. i do no longer see banning guns correcting this. He develop right into a foul individual.

It's more "people control" that worries me. A gun can't go off unless there's an idiot holding onto it.

There was a good reason for our forefathers to provide us with the "right to bear arms." I hate the idea of it...but not enough to change the constitution over it. The user/owner has a major responsibility to use it properly.

There is no private citizen that needs a fully automatic weapon in my opinion. I do believe, however, that people have the right to have weapons to defend themselves. In fact, in Oklahoma, we have a 'stand your ground' law that means if you come on my property and threaten my life or property I have the right to take you out!
