i just want to know what it means to be a controlling person.

Was married to one. I wasn't "allowed" to speak to anyone other than him. If I spoke to another male, I was a W and wanted to ...same for speaking to a female. If he did not like my clothing, he would throw it away. He chose what nail color I wore. I was told I spent too much time with my Parents!! Glad I got shed of that totally brainless idiot.
