Codeine is one of the least addictive drugs and your dependence is psychological. Yes, it will affect sexuality a little, but if you have the will power, then, it is not a difficult problem to get rid of. You can either stop completely...the best way....or simply reduce the dose....you bought the problem, don't expect others to cry for you.

You need to get OFF that garbage. Yes, after 4 years I bet you are addicted. The symptoms you feel as a result of the cough syrup will go away after you have been off of it for 3-6 months. You'll be amazed at how GOOD you feel. In fact, you will probably be very aroused once that codeine is out of your system.

Good luck!

Opiates cause a multitude of side affects, addiction being the worst. With the absence of the drug you should recover. However if you are dependent at this point,it will be an up hill battle.Good luck.

Go to a doctor and tell them that you are addicted.Coedine is a narcotic and it is not easily tamed.
You may need to go into a replacement therapy and drug treatment.
This is stronger than you are,go get help.
