The pen is mighter because it can reach a lot more people and influence the way that they feel about something through the written word.

Because the writing of the pen goes to the mind. Mind is the store house of emotions. Emotions are the powder that is capable of triggering an explosion. A sword, finishes off the enemy in a fraction of the second, painless instantaneous.

A pen is a symbol of thoughts / views which is backed by the supreme power of mankind ie. brain , while on the other hand a sword simply represnts agrression and violance.

A pen is simply a tool of best of all powers, while sword is a tool for aquiring one power.

A pen can change the lives of people but sword takes it away.

once the Prophet Mohammad [pbuh] said during his sermons,

" THE INK OF A SCHOLAR IS HOLIER THAN THE BLOOD OF A MARTYR "

Why? because most literate people carry a pen in their pocket, for the days defense against idiots and government that have the power to bring you to naught. not too many carry swords, but you probably need to, when you ask a question that has the answer in hand.

An intelligent man using a pen with cause may affect much more than even the strongest man using a sword.

A sword can hurt and injure and kill only, where as a pen can create many many good things, and also when needed can hurt and cut very very severely. That's why.

Sometimes although ppl do not mean 2 say so they say bad stuff 2 their friendz and their mouth is their pen. though when ppl r killed bi swords it hurts, but not as much as the pen

with the help of sword u can face 1,2,3...at most i hope not more than 7or 8 but with the help of pen means writing u can raise thousands of voice with u or with the Truth.

because penned words are permanent & can be very hurtful - here is an old saying that a young student of mine changed around a little bit - i thought is was very poignant:

"Sticks & stones can break your bones, but words can break your heart."
