Suddenly and for no apparent reason, my computer decided to start displaying all my internet fonts almost twice the size as before and making my pages display (and print) with part of the right side cut off. I have looked everywhere I can think of to try fixing it and returning it to normal, but I haven't even found anywhere with the option to change the size of the fonts, even in Internet Options. Where else can I look? I'm running in Windows XP. My mom also said that some of the emails I've sent want her to install a Greek language pack to display properly (my apostrophe's and asterisks show up as symbols), but I can't figure out why that would be and if maybe the problems are connected...?

There are some really helpful answers here already, Thank you.
I have the size issue fixed (true blonde moment there). I swear I didn't change it, and my cats or plants aren't intelligent enough yet either to have done this.
**My fonts are listed as Latin based already, are there any other ideas on what could be up with my emails?

And yes, I've done virus scans, spyware scans, defragged, checked for errors, all that stuff already.

trying going to "view" then "text size" and putting it on a smaller setting, ...
or the short cut is:
hold down the "ctrl" key and scroll your mouse wheel

Run you virus scan immediately and do a complete system scan. Make sure that your virus definitions are updated and the program is as well BEFORE you begin. That way, the AV program will catch the latests bugs.
Unless someone changed the font size in error or otherwise, , and someone actually sent her an e-mail in Greek, this behaviour sounds like you may have been infected by a virus. Computers are not that intellgiant (yet!) to change settings on its own for no reason.

I worked with a guy who's easily blind. he's a claims rep at Social safe practices who makes use of a computer with a device connected to it so as that it "talks" to him. It takes him forever to get some thing performed even with the indisputable fact that it truly works.

Three things come to mind:
1. cl View
Scroll down to Text Size - you will see a right-arrow
select a text size
2. Check your screen resolution
Right-cl on the desktop
cl Properties
cl on the Settings tab
move the slider to 1024 x 768.
3. cl Tools
cl Internet Options
General tab
near the bottom cl Fonts
I am using Tms Roman, Latin based
Let's hope that helps.

Try going to your control panel and display. You can change the resolution then apply changes. Also check the apppearance tab and put everything on the default w/ the font size normal.

Don't worry at all!! This happened to me,quite a few months ago now. With Internet Explorer, just look at the top of the browser, where it says 'File','Edit','View','Favourites',ect. Click on View, then go down to where it says 'Text Size'. Then, click on a smaller size, like I have it on Medium now. It's not a Virus, and there's nothing wrong with your computer :) Like I said,Don't worry :)

If you are using IE
go to the View menu -> Text Size -> select Largest, Larger etc as required. This would solve it
My advice is to select the Medium text size

Go to the control desk and change the settings there. Someone probably just set it to a larger screen setting. Which if you don't have it just stretches everything out off screen.
Though I don't think this explains the email to your mom. btw, How did you get you mom to use email?

I'm sure you have already tried
view
text size
Go to
tools
Internet options
advanced ----- make the changes you want
okay.
And there is
start
help and support
Time consuming, but some of that should do the trick.

no probs, don't be so tensed about this, do this>>
if u are using internet explorer, then:
Open Internet Explorer > go to "view" menu > Text Size > check on "Medium".
ur text size will get alrite, and if this does't work, then the way in which u are explaining ur problem is bad.
do it, and let me knw if there any issues.
Thanks,
Zubair
