Should universities protect free speech on all sides of an issue? Thus should these protesters who physically prevented this speech from taking place be expelled?

Is it free speech to violently silence someone else? The idea that that is true, is what I would fight against.

first, the security should be held responsible, because obviously it wasn't high enough (typical republican mistake ;) Then, an investigation should be conducted, and violators of student code of conduct should be held to the rules spelled out in the student handbook. Just like the university is doing. You know, freedom of speech is just like any other freedom...it comes with responsibilities...you can say what you want, but be prepared for the consequences...even if illegal activity is found to have occurred, mission was STILL accomplished. Debates should be more responsible, less inflammatory, and should be conducted in proper venues. Geraldo taught us that when he put black panthers and skinheads on the same show. Freedom of speech and shock value got his nose broken (and it has been crooked ever since)

All speech should be protected and the person should be allowed to voice their views.

I wouldn't expel, but they need to understand that the 1st Amendment protects not only the speech we like, but the speech we don;t like

No, only leftist free speech is protected. Those on the right can not only be silenced, but they deserve to be physically attacked. It's fair. Right?

Yes, it would be a great lesson for the students to learn. If c.u. doesn't reprimand them somehow, then they would be graduating people who believe the opposite of what America stands for.

So ... let me get this straight, in order to protect one person freedom to speak lies, you remove the opposing faction free speech by kicking them out of school? Makes sense.
