We can't say with last security what will happen - we've never seen something like that "live".
But most of astronomic scientists say that at the end of her life (around 500 million years before her death) she will blow up herself and grow so big that she kills mercur and venus - and we would see her taking around 45% of our normal sky...
But by this time earth is already dead, the temperature is said to become around 500 degrees (celsius) which is around 960 degrees fahrenheit.
At her real end, the sun will explode and blow away huge amounts of her matter - but ca. 80% will form a "White Nano", a planet-like matter-collection with a so huge density that a 10-liters-pot of ts matter weighs around 10 tons...
But there will be no atmic explosion or else - the sun gains its huge amount of energy from fusion (hydogen to helium). And this is totally atomic-free...
But at the Supernova, the "Final Blast" will destroy all planets up to Pluto... And if not by the explosion itself then by the radiation.

For one thing, our sun is older than 4.5 billion years. The earth is 4.6 billion years old, and although I can't remember the exact age of the sun, I'd put it at something like 4.7 billion years... it is expected that the sun has enough hydrogen to continue it's main sequence phase for another 3-5 billion years. As the sun gets older it will get hotter and hotter... within a billion years or so the earth will be so hot that it will be unable to support life on its surface (all the oceans and lakes would be boiled off into the atmosphere)... The death of the sun will be fairly peacefull. Once it runs low on hydrogen it will begin to expand into a "red giant" star... eventually it's diameter will exceed that of the earth's orbit... all the inner planets will be ingulfed by the sun and be vaporized. Once the sun completely runs out of hydrogen and is left with only heavier elements like helium it will contract to a tiny dwarf star, it will not explode in a giant super-nova... the outer planets like Jupiter and Neptune will all still be there, though the solar wind will most likely blow away a lot of their atmosphere by that time.
This is the best I can do without looking anything up... Main idea - sun will not blow up like an atomic explosion, and it will only destroy the inner planets from mercury to mars... the process of the sun's death will be very gradual and will take millions of years.

A) no sun can, "explode like a volcano."
B) whoever is telling you the sun will go supernova obviously missed 3rd grade science and has had their head in a hole ever since.
C) are you talking about solar flares? If so, there's no way it could take out, "all the planets," even if all the planets lined up in a row, which they would have to do.

From Exit Mundi:
"The absorbing 1961 movie The Day The Earth Caught Fire gives a pretty good picture of what it will be like. Sure, it will become quite hot. Rivers will evaporate, causing dense, hot fogs. The polar ice will melt, causing oceans to rise and entire countries to flood. But then, the sea will evaporate as well. Long before the solar surface reaches our planet, we will simply be barbecued to death. Sadly, there is no happy ending. Eventually, Earth will be swallowed by the growing Sun. Our planet will burn up in its ultra hot outer layers. "
If you search using "how our sun will die" as your search phrase, you will find many other sites like the one below, that will give you step-by-step descriptions of exactly HOW & WHY the sun will die. Sweet dreams!

This is not answer on this question but it is reply to your answer on mine and I couldnt answer as it says your adress hasnt been confirmed.
About my question, I am supposed to decide soon and I am not sure. It seems too long. So I guess I am just trying to find someone to tell me "go for it" as everyone tell me I am crazy when I tell them my plans.

if I'm not mistaken as the sun ages and cools it will expand.. it will eventually be bigger than the whole universe.
