To answer your question, I want you to do an experiment.

Find someone with a 2400 baud modem. Go online & download a video file. Now find someone else with a 56K model & do the same thing. Now try it with someone who has DSL. Now try it with someone who has a cable connection.

Next, imagine that you have to download a lot of them and can pick any of the four computers. Would your investigation into the speed of the four options affect your choice?
