Is this a derogatory name to call someone on this site? I used it, believing it to be a common name in the US, and got a telling off from Big Brother Yahoo.

The name is fairly common in the U.S. among lower-class Southern whites of the sort commonly referred to as "rednecks." As a pejorative, it implies that the person so labeled is ignorant, backward and uncouth.

Maybe used in certain ways it is a sexual put down or some such?

What about Billy Bob Thornton, he doesn't seem to have a problem with his name does he?

Who knows how the great minds of the abuse board work; if indeed they do.

I always assume violation removals must be computer generated. it is the only thing that makes sense.

Join the club, it must be pick on a Britain day today, I got a violation for been honest, guess it doesn't always pay to be, isn't there a famous actor of that name in America, weird what they will tick you off for on YA, hope the rest of your day is great anyhow.
