Will the Democrts use this as a fear tactic to win the election? Is Uncle Sam listening to you talk about the last episode of "Grey's Anatomy"?

That would be the fear tactic I'm referring to. First, it can't be used in a criminal court. Second, you have to be on an international call.

That's kind of funny. Yes, it probably will be used as a fear tactic...but now that it's been made public information, I'm sure the terrorists will find a new way to communicate. I'm thinking something like coded emails or IM's.

The government is using this whole "homeland security" thing to erode our rights to privacy. Eavesdropping without a warrant is absolutely unconstitutional. And, yes, the dems will use this as a fear tactic, and they will probably win because the republican party is in a fast downhill slide with the Pres's approval rating and the whole Foley thing.

Civil liberties are so important that our forefathers established the Bill of Rights to protect them. It doesn't matter what you are talking about. It is the protection of your right to say things without being spied on that is important.

I challenge you to never say anything that could be misconstrued, used against you, or that you otherwise wouldn't want everyone in the world, including your dear grandmother, to overhear. If you can accomplish this, then you are not normal. An expectation of privacy is a fundamental part of freedom and is not something I am willing to give up, even though I personally have nothing criminal to hide.

The bottom line is that liberals oppose the eavesdropping program because liberals always support America's enemies. It really is just as simple as that.
