Because some people are actually watching this stuff. MTV and VH1 only care about ratings and as long as people watch, they'll keep showing it.
I agree, turn it off. I don't need to compare my life to theirs. They may have lots of money, but hardly any of these hot young celebs can hold a relationship longer than a tic tac. And if something were to ever happen to their millions they would be completely unable to function in the real world. You can atleast take comfort in that.

definite with a pastime. i imagine television/videos/music/paintings has lengthy gone downhill because the right of the 1970's. I characteristic that to many causes. First the music video killed music. observing a music video takes each and every of the mind's eye out of the music till its in a movie or a promo video like the Beatles did. companies have taken over our paintings. music and videos at the on the spot are made for one sole purpose and that is to make funds. it quite is why VH1 and MTV is taking section in crap like that. They understand its terrible even with the indisputable fact that the base line that's what maximum folk favor to work out. therefore putting funds of their wallet. Its unhappy, truly. i wish in some unspecified time sooner or later they are going to seem again and say "My god, we destroyed paintings" and with a bit of luck be remorseful yet all of us understand thats no longer going to ensue

VH1 has been slowly transitioning to an Entertainment News channel (sort of like E!) for a while now. MTV on the other hand, is about music (somewhat) so it only makes sense to provide info on the people who make it.

Good for you, they only make these programs to make poor people (like me) envious and encourage people to buy rubbish which is supposed to make their supposedly sad lives more like those shallow people they call celebrites.
