Hemp, look online I cant remember who but there is a sight where they sell hemp clothing. And cotton, wear jeans and a t-shirt, environmentally friendly because it doesnt harm out environment to grow it, it is a health crop that grows well and is good for the economy. Unlike leather which comes from the slaughter of animals.

Environmentally-friendly clothing would include natural fabrics, such as cotton, linen, silks, etc., as opposed to synthetic fabrics. I'm surprised your teacher would suggest plastic bags -- which are not biodegradable; hence, not earth friendly. But if this fashion show is more of a casual-type thing, go ahead and wear a shirt made from the comics page of the paper or the cover of "Ladies' Home Journal". You're limited only by your imagination and how creative you are. Have fun!

If thats your project, get like a dress or shirt you dont want anymore or get it from a thrift store and start putting newspaper on it, glue probably wouldnt work, depends on the brand. and then use something else for a belt like a ripped paper bag, and i bet you could do the same for a hat as well. You could probably make some jewelery to go with it, wow! sounds like lots of fun. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
Take care and good luck.

Since when were plastic bags environmentally friendly? Won't cotton decompose long before a plastic bag will? But anyway, if you go to your local newspaper office you can by a roll of newspaper (unprinted) and that will make clothing a LOT easier to make since it unrolls and is about three feet wide. Good luck!

..hemp is a good one...actually very popular...i don't see how plastic is enviormentally friendly..and newspaper takes years to break down...if you have the time you can make your own paper...or make something out of brown paper bags..or the outer part on corn....coconuts...bananna peels...tall grasses...hot glue on flowers...leaves...sounds like a fun class...! have a great time...
