Well me and my brother are haveing a birthday party today (me 16 him 13) and we've invited all these awsome people and anyway I need some good things to do. Most partys I've gone to people just talk to the people they know and go crazy and eat all the food and some people join in on the activitys but not enugh.

How can I get people involved and have a great party?

plan some games to get everyone to mingle - this one is fun and it breaks down some inhibitions.
Divide your group into 2 teams, then have a race to see which team can pass an apple, tucked under your chin, down the line using only your chin & neck.

We do a pumpkin slalom at our parties, also done in teams. The bigger the kids, the bigger the pumpkings - you'll need 20 or more pumpkins - line them up 3 feet apart in parrallel lines. It's a relay race- the first team member picks up the pumpkin, runs zig-zag (slalom) down & back through the rest of the pumpkins and replaces the pumpkin at the feet of the next team member, ant then that person runs- the first team to complete the race wins - then everyone gets to decorate a pumpkin.

The other game is a dueling competition using 2 pool noodles - draw a chalk cirlce on the ground - 3 feet in diameter, 2 contestants enter the ring and battle each other w/ a pool noodle (or large french bread) held between the knees - hand behind the back - the first person to step outside the ring loses.
Music is always a good addition.

Since this is the Halloween season, 9inches suggestion of bobbing for apples is a good one. So is the movie...you could even rent one so bad that it's funny and have your own "Mystery Science Theater 3000" with each person taking a turn at making a comment. Ever heard of "Mad Libs"...sold at book stores...great for group activities. You and your bro will have to be at the forefront and get the people involved. (I trust your parents will be in the background somewhere, they could help by passing out the pencils and paper for the MadLibs.) Also, games that require "teams" or pairs. Do a general search on your favorite search engine for "party games" and you'll come up with a lot of hits for ideas. (Just make sure they are age appropriate and are ok with your parents.)

Good luck, have a great party and a HUGE Happy Birthday!!! to you and your brother!!!

try some outdoor games or something to wind everyone down if you decide to watch a movie.
i suggest (if you live in a safe neighborhood and ur parentss don't care) that you play hide-n-seek. still fun, even if u r sixteen
