time or closest to -- of the birth of my grandson (she's in labor right now) - my son's girlfriend -- WINS!!! Just for fun. She was "induced" this a.m. about 6:30 and started labor about 7. She is 17 years old -- her mom had long labors (I don't know if that means anything or not) but so did I. They gave her an epidural about 8:30 so.......want to try and guess --- heck, it's an easy one right???? I'm so excited -- we're heading to the hospital in about 15 minutes.......

Going on my own experience with being induced twice and family having a history of long labors I'm going to say 12 noon. (It'll go faster since she was induced)
Congrats on the grandbaby no matter what time it arrives!

By the way to danielle m: that was a rude comment. I had my 1st at 18 and he's been a blessing not an embarrassment. You should never say something like that about a baby. Shame on you!

Between 6:45 and 8:34 p.m. most first labors last 11-14 hours, even when induced. possibly a c-section at 9 pm.

First of all, I can understand you being excited about a new baby, but when it's a 17 year old girl, I think that is just wrong, teens shouldn't be out there having sex at that age, i'd be more embarrassed than excited. However, I was induced with my 4th son at about 10:30am and I didn't have him for another 6 hours or so, so my guess is around 1:00 this afternoon the baby should be here give or take a few minutes. Labor is different for everyone, however if her mother had long labor, so will she. I asked my dr. this one and that is what he told me, he said usually if the mom had long labor, the daughter will, but it's not the same case for everyone. So everyone in my book have different labors.

Danielle M: She asked for a estimated time ~ not your moral stance on pregnancy and teens. We are also taught not to judge, but some people seem to forget that!
