i recently found out that i am going to be relocated to alaska for a duty assignment. and i wanted to know if anyone knows about any available apartments in and arround the fairbanks area. i have been looking online for a few days now and so far i have been unsuccessfull so i need you r help please

I live in Anchorage not Fairbanks, but there are many small apartments in Fairbanks because of the college. North Pole is next to Fairbanks, there may be some rental property there also. Are you military? If so, army or air force. One of the bases is not real close to Fairbanks, you may want to live on base instead. How long is the duty assignment? Short term housing may be easier to find around Christmas time, since some college students leave then.
My nephew got his bachelors and masters degrees in Fairbanks; that took several years and he never had trouble finding a place to live.
Good luck to you. Fairbanks gets much colder than Anchorage does. If you can possibly afford it, get a place with a garage.
