I myself have seen many dolphins in groups during two hours morning tour at Arabian sea off Goa's Vegator Beach. It was a beautiful natural scene of their dancing, jumping and chasing our boat.
All through from Cochin to Lakshadweep islands, by cruise, dolphins entertained us on many patches of the sailing route.
Bay of Bengal has many dolphins all over.
Some parts of Ganga river witness groups of dolphins.

Yes. Dolphins are found in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. If you watch the shipping channels from Fort Kochi in Kerala or Diamond Harbor in Calcutta, you can see them jumping up whenever ships pass..looking for food. Also you can find the Gangetic Dolphin, as the name suggests in the Ganga river

YES.. I have seen Dolphins at Cochin and Pirotan island near Jamnagar. river dolphins are also found in Ganga, Brahmputra and their tributaries. there's interesting book " whales and dolphins of India" by R. S. Lal Mohan

They are! According to World Wildlife Fund they are the fesh water variety called river Dolphin and are endangered.
