I think its a three way tie between animenewsnetwork.com, keiichianimeforever.com, absoluteanime.com 'cause they are all helpful.

I like animenfo.com. It has a comprehensive list of anime (and some manga) and you can sort them by genre. Also, people write reviews on the different titles so you can decide if it is something you want to see.
I've used it many times to see if a series will interest me.
