I have about a 1/2 a cup of coffee in the morning (if i'm not sick). Sometimes I feel guilty....... with my first baby I had NO CAFFINE. I just wanted to see how many more of us have coffee.

I have always been a coffee drinker, however during the first 2 1/2 months, it made me sick. I am just starting to drink one small cup in the morning. Usually I drink about half of it & don't want anymore.

Yup, every day, except I am more of a tea person than coffee when I am at home. And I have more than half a cup, I actually drink about 2 cups. I do drink a soda most days too. I did the same with my first pregnancy and no harm done. I found a useful site with a caffine calculator. http://iparenting.com/resources/articles/caffeine.htm

Im not a big coffe drinker (although I have had the occasional mocha) but I do eat chocolate and drink Tea (both have caffene in them) Dont feel to guilty..its ok to have a few little pleasures during pregnancy. Studies have shown that you need to drink at least 3 cups of coffee per day before it has any effects on baby, so enjoy your half a cup and dont worry !

Ever since we started trying, I've only been drinking decaf, and even that has been only once or twice a week.

I'm about 8 weeks along now, and along with that once or twice a week decaf, sometimes I'll have half a can of Dr. Pepper, heavily diluted with ice, but that's maybe once every couple of weeks.

Otherwise I've been pretty good about the no caffiene thing...

not so much coffee as tea or soda. I do try to limit how much I drink and have water as well. I still consider it a treat, but it makes me feel like I have a little control over what I can/ can't have.

Hope you're feeilng better! that's the worst part of pregnancy ; )

i still drink coffee my midwife has told me this is fine as long as i limit myself to no more than 3 cups aday.
I have found that if you make coffee with warm milk you use less coffee anyway so you can still enjoy a nice cuppa and not feel guilty.

My Doctor said that the caffeine in one soda is no big deal...Coke was the only thing that would settle my stomach in the first few months. I think coffee has around the same amount of caffeine in coffee...not positive...
