I have a Compaq computer with 256 of memory and 80 in the hard drive.
I work a lot on photos and my computer is getting very slow. I need a faster computer for the pictures and also for the internet.
I would like to buy a Dell computer. What is better? Dell or Compaq?
I also want to be able to burn CD's using both trays at the same time.
Since I don't know a lot about these numbers and features, I get confused when I go to Dell's Website.
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Well I would recommend Dell, and whatever you do don't get a Mac. I would not recommend burning two CDs at the same time, most likely will cause errors. If you could send me an e-mail with what your price range is I could help you pick one out. My e-mail is in my profile.

go to your local pc shop, tell tech guy there what you needs are and let him show you units that fit your needs, and prices, get brochures, go home, read and study brochures, then make decision, return next day with your cash or plastic and buy the computer. go home, install the pc and then see if you can understand and use what you purchased.

Since you're working on graphics, use a Mac desktop. It'll cost more, but you won't regret it.
