If all the elements of superstring theory are correct, then the universe will probably not be able to shrink to a pinpoint at its end (and was probably much larger than a point at the time of the big bang. Heck, it may 'only' contract to as small as a basketball......
OTOH and tongue in cheek, maybe all those little strings are more prolific than we human beings and are creating new little strings which require their own minimal amount of space constantly, so the universe is growing exponentially and always will. Personally, I'm planning to finish my coffee and take a walk off the edge of the world that I glimpsed out my window........

The bible says "Did I create the heavens simply for nothing?"
Once this universal issue has been settled. Adam and Eve wanted to rule themselves and have shown self rule to be a failure. Then this earth will be made into a paradise.
Psalms 37:9,10,11 and 29 shows the earth will be here forever.
Once the wicked are gone and we have an eternity to live.
People will go on to populate the heavens. From one planet to another until the heavens are full of people. All living in harmony with God's will. We are only the start of humanity.

e The universe is like a thunderstorm, a finite entity that begins as a tiny wisp of vapor, expands into a raging malestrom then subsides and disappears forever
The elements of a thunderstorm are heat and water, the elements of a universe are time and space.
It will take the same amount of time for the universe to end as it took from the begining until it reached the maximum size and density.

In time, our galaxy will slowly implode into a black hole at its center. As this occurs, the giant wheel of the Milky way will become unstable and we will begin an enormous "pinwheel" through space until we collide with another galaxy. This vast collision will create a chain reaction that will eventually reduce all of the matter of the two systems into the compressed point of the black hole that will grow until it begins to suck in more light and create more suns.

If you are a believer, you know the universe will change to become the here after, after which it will stay for ever, no end
people will either go to hell or Paradise and live there for ever,
this change of the universe will happen when God decides, and it will happen suddenly, not gradually
