it's not time to panic. he's not underdeveloped. it sounds like he's on the right track with the standing and holding onto stuff. he'll walk in his own time.

My son turned 1 on sept 1st. He started walking last week. He started out doing exactly what yours is doing, he also crawls and prefered that until he learned he could walk..
Crawlers are the babies who don't wanna walk for a long time... just have patientce, most little guys will before 18 months... you are still on time with what he should be doing......
any time now those "stand ups" will turn into steps.

Some children take their time to walk. My youngest son didn't walk until he was about 18 months old but he turned out to be autistic. My friends daughter commando crawled until 16 months, there was nothing wrong with her, and she walked when she was good and ready. Don't worry because you may communicate that worry to the child and extend the time it takes for her to get up and walk.

not necessarily.. boy babies usually take longer to walk than girls. My son turned 1 on sept 21st, he had been walking to and from things for about 2-3weeks before his bday and then the day of his bday he was trotting around everywhere. It just depends. My little boy has always been advanced in everything though. He should start walking at about 14 months

I wouldn't be to worried. All kids are different. My daughter is 10 month old and walk in the house but not outside yet.She started out by standing and holding on to things before she got brave enough to take a few steps. My 3 step sons who live with us did not walk untill they were all over a year old.So don't worry yet wait till he is closer to 18 months old to start to worry. All kids are different.

Don't worry im sure your son is just not quite ready to take his first steps and many people say that children should be walking by the time they turn one but many children start walking at 15 months so im sure he is developing fine

Some kids tend to perfect differnt kinds of skills at different times. Some might work really hard on trying to communicate and bc of that, they don't spend as much time trying to accomplish physical feats. That is totally normal. My daughter worked mostly on that so she crawled, walked, climbed a little earlier than most. But she doesn't communicate as much as say some kids her age. They will work on that later on.

Hes fine....My oldest walked at 9 mons and my second one not until 14 mons, so it just depends on the child. There is like a 6 month span of the "normal" age for walking. And docs don't usually worry till u are way past that. Keep him little while you can, they outgrow you so quickly.

My triples that are 2 now just learned to walk stteadly they stared to atempt this at 1 and a half years. Don't push your child just encourge him. But it is different for all babys. My 4 month twins are learning to lay on there bellies and somwhat cawl which probably means they will walk sooner. So it depends

All kids are different. Was he a prem? Or sickly baby? That may make learning to walk take a bit longer. But if he' crawling around I bet he'll be walking in no time.
