Let the no. be a

a=(1/a)-(16/15)

= (15-16a)/15a

15a^2 = 15 - 16a

15a^2 + 16a -15 =0

now multiply the constant term with the coefficient of a^2, i.e
-225 and factorize it so that the sum of the factors is equal to 16, i.e. 25 and -9
then

15a^2 +25a - 16a -15 =0

5a(3a+5) - 3(3a+5) =0

(5a-3) (3a+5) =0
which yields

a= -5/3 or a=3/5

hope you learned.

x=1/x-16/15
x²=1-16x/15
x²+16x/15=1
x²+16x/15+64/225=289/225
(x+8/15)²=289/225
x+8/15=±17/15
x=-8/15±17/15
x=9/15 or x=-25/15

x=3/5 or x=-5/3
