I don't know about Dallas, but in the Pacific Northwest, for a normal vaginal delivery with no anesthetics, it costs around $5000 including one night's stay in the hospital. It would guess that the cost would be similar in other parts of the country, though maybe a little less as the cost of living is higher here.

I doubt there is a clear cut answer for that question. Being non-American wouldn't affect the price, however not having insurance would. If you have insurance, the type you have would change the price. I swear, figuring out medical billing is like trying to comparison shop for mattresses.
My short answer is, if you don't have insurance, it would be REALLY expensive to have a baby in a hospital. If you have that much money, you should buy some insurance.

I dont know about Texas, but the cost for my whole hospital stay was $11000 but insurance paid for all but about $400. If you dont have insurance you may have to check on finding a public hospital where they will take you in wether you have insurance or not.

Just go to emergency room, have doctor's delivery baby, and don't bother to pay the bill. It's the American way!

And by the way, your baby will DEFINATELY, 100% Guareentee you that BABY WILL BE A US Citizen. And will stay that way the rest of his life, unless he chooses to give it up voluntarily!

Anyone tell you ANYTHING different than that, regarding his citizenship, doesn't know what they are talking about. BABY WILL BE A US CITIZEN. END OF DISCUSSION.
