Samson and Goliath are the names of the two Harland & Wolff cranes in Belfast.

Samson and Goliath are the cranes in the Harland and Wolf shipyard in Belfast.

That is the shipyard where the Titanic (as well as the Oceanic and Britannic, plus many, many other ships) was built.

Is it the flys that you mean, if so "Daddy long legs" or "Dragon flys".
If you mean construction cranes they are called "Tower cranes".
