It is fabulous being pregnant and not having your period for 9 months. What no one tells you is that after you give birth, you bleed for 2 to 6 weeks straight! Can the ladies suggest a short maxi pad? I am a tampon girl, but you can't wear them immediatley after you give birth. So I am on the quest of the maxi pad that is about the size of a pantyliner? Anyone know of any? Thank you so very much!

Yes try always it's what I use and you don't have to worry about bulk . They are thin and comfortable give it a try. Congrats on your new bundle of joy!

Yeah, that's the part that stinks. Especially when you are so used to tampons! I used Always, the ultra thin ones. With the wings. I don't remember the specific kind, since I don't use them, and it was a couple years ago when I did. I usually go for the longer, just to be safe, but they are still thin. I don't know if I'd trust any the size of a pantyliner at that time, doesn't seem like it would work out well, but Always does come in various lengths. I've never really tried anything else. Whatever you do, definitely use your own, not the hospital's! They seem quite useless...

Try always ulta thin. There are a variety of absobancies in the ultra thin line. It is what I used after having each of my kids and I have 4. I suggest you bring a pack to the hospital with you since the hospital issue maxi pads are more like wearing a diaper than anything else.

hey, thats so true! haha. BUT you bleed so much after you have your baby that you will need the thickest maternity pads around!! LOL. Sorry to say! A couple of weeks after you have your baby you will be able to go onto the smaller ones but definately not straight away. You will need to take a few packets of the thickest ones you can find into hospital with you. Its definately worse than a normal heavy period.

There are maternity pads that you wear straight after but they are like surfboards . You will need them at first cause the flow may be strong. As the days roll on you can wear any pad you like then towards the end its just a brown smudge and you will just need a panty liner. All the best.

Stayfree with wings. They have several different lengths. Some are as short as a maxi, fairly thin feeling, but absorbent enough to hold all that your body is going to put out. They did great for my postpartum bleeding.

Any of the major brands carry ultra thin pads that are very absorbing. From experience though? For the first couple of weeks, you may rather enjoy the comfort of more cushioning down there.

Always has been my brand of choice for years.

Always makes a new kind that has a wipe attached to the packet. That was a good idea of them to make those. I'd use them.
