Right before my monthly, I get gas very bad...What causes this? and do anyone else have this problem? thanks

I think it's pressure on the bowel which is right next door to the female parts... I usually get constipated, among several other things

It is all to do with the fact that it is all swollen up down their, you think you have a full uterus due to the volume of blood even if you don't bleed a lot. Most women get bad gas before a period and a little bit of an upset tummy don't worry about it, it is just another joy of being a women!!!!!

Write down what you are eating the week before your period, write down everything, even gum and beverages. Do this for two months and notice if there are any consistancy with that. Sometimes you get food cravings and you eat certain foods and it gives you gas.
Everyone is different with their periods. I usually get overly tired and cranky the week before and want Chocolate and ice cream. I get gassy too. (sugar!)

Same thing happens to me. Sometimes it is painful to use the bathroom. I actually told my doc about it. She said just cut back on the green leafy veggies, beans, and foods that normally cause you to be more gassy. I also started using beano. Its silly but it really does help.

Every female is different. Like for me I get a headace before. Or you can talk to your doctor if it bothers you.
