Take no notice of the Sky Engineer, yes there is an extra subscription, £10 per month, that is for the EPG Guide, and also you will need a different LNB, the thing that goes on the end of the dish, it is what you call a Quad Output LNB, the Sky + box has 2 Sateelite tuners, therefore you need 2 Satellite signal feeds, go to www.sky-digital24.com, you will find info on there, the LNB's are about £20, it can be easily done by non-technical people, I hope this info helps you out, and also it depends on how much you are going to buy the 2nd hand box for......

all you need to do is swap all the leads over.. taking care with the black arial one with the silver 'f' connector ( they break easy) and do a master reset on it... (hold the power/back-up/tvguide buttons as you plug it in) depending how old it is, if it hasn't got the new light blue menu screen.. you will have to phone sky:08702404040 to send you a update signal...... also press 'services on control, then system set-up.. then 0-1 select.. it will bring up a new install menu.. good luck...

you have to subscribe im afraid i know that we wanted to cut our package and were told no problem but if you do you cant use the record facilities or the pause and rewind so in effect no good but if you have the full package im sure sky will activate it for you so good luck hope it works for you

you need to have the extra subscription i think, but just try installing it and see what happens i very much doubt you can break anything
