I live in Portsmouth and sometimes I'm sure people forget that it's just an island with two roads off and on. The traffic is at a stand still around 0830 in the morning with parents taking their one child to school in their 4x4's. The only time they have had it off road is when they park on the pavement. The same happens at school kicking out time and at around 1730. Buses, cars & taxis are all held up in the traffic and I have to leave around 0730 to get to work for 0830 by bus. I work around 5 miles from home. For every house, petrol station & pub they demolish. They build around 10 new flats in there place. You can bet that all the flat owners have cars and it just adds to the traffic along with the out of towners trying to find somewhere to park for the day. It's a right pain in the aras.

Liverpool - traffic is usually at a standstill on certain routes into town centre from 8 - 9.30 Monday to Sat, then again at about 4 - 6.30 with people coming out of town Routes upto M62 chocka all day every day.......
Town centre is all 1 way system totally sh.ite!!!!
I do wonder why I ever learned to drive......cos usually I take the bus...so I don't have to queue for parking if I'm going into town shopping and get a taxi home!!! Can't wait for the Christmas rush either...even worse!

Eastbourne, E Sussex. Millions of stupid cows in 4x4s clogging up the roads for a 100 yard journey, boy and old man racers everywhere. Tw*ts who think that if they do a wheel-spin at 4am people will think 'ooh! There goes Starsky and Hutch' when everyone just wants them to crash and die. Ars*holes who aim their cars at you when crossing the road or either deliberately slow down if you decide to wait or speed up if you decide to cross. Selfish parkers stopping buses getting past chicanes, idiots crossing into different lanes at the last minute. Show me someone who obeys the Highway Code in Eastbourne and I'll show you the poor sod getting honked by the other idiots. Really, I think they seem to give driving licences away with copies of The Sun nowadays rather than people having to pass a test like in my day. (continued pages 2 - 324) and the roads were built too narrow in the first place. Quicker either to catch the train and walk (buses too snarled-up all day) or just buy a Chieftain tank and squash the bastards flat!

Greater Manchester, more traffic on the roads everyday !
When I first started driving you would get the usual rush hour congestion, now it's all day everyday from around 7:30am until 6:30pm and then there's the problem of parking...

Devon, despite being mostly rural, is also mostly a car-park where the roads should be. People keep moving here, houses keep getting built, but no new roads, no motorways and no movement of traffic. Everyday it gets worse. Also as no real work here, EVERYBODY has to travel, so problem is only set to get worse and worse.

Melrose, on a major highway that leads to the lakes and recreation areas. On the weekends it is a bit of a sticky wicket.
