Unless you specify what kind of music or what kind of party - it has no other specific name. It is usually referred to as party dancing.

Depends on the party. if it's say the repulican party, it's a dance where they deny any knowlege and point the finger at the other guy.
Or if it's regular dance dancing. Like when you are just dancing more to have fun than for particular timing and skill.
You know how sometimes at a party the normally uptight
person will get boozed up and tear off thier shirt and dance.

I guess it depends on the party. I went to party where a lot of rock music was played and people looked to be just throwing themselves around- forget about keeping a beat. There was nothing rhythmic about the dancing. LOL
But at a regular party, where they play pop, hip hop, reggae, or a mix of them all, there is no real name. There are actual names for dance steps but no real name for the type of dance form.

I love all varieties of dance considering the fact that it's an expression of our inside selves which may have many sun shades and even extremes. Out of the above, I'd prefer salsa, ballroom, people and bhangra. It can difference with my temper. My different favorites are ballet, kathak, bharathnatyam and plenty of varieties of Indian dance. I believe kuchipudi is one amongst them, I'm no longer certain. Its an expression of feelings so each and every type is enormously lovely.
