I guess what I'm asking is, how is this better / worse than a regular pc? the case looks to be about the same size as any other desktop computer so I'm a little confused with the "micro" also.

A microtower usually has one less bay for holding hard drives and cd drives. It may also only hold a slightly smaller that normal system board - a "baby" AT board instead of an AT board. This could limit your choice of system board for the case.

Best thing to do is check the specification on the case and it will list number of bays, size of board, wattage of power supply etc. They will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

They are the tiny pc's. I think they suck, because it would be hard to get in there. They usaully do not have alot room for new drives. They are nice at the same time, because they a portable.
