2050? That's a looooong time. Predicting that far ahead is like someone living in year 1900 predicting the great depression, the rise of Hitler and Stalin, and both world wars. Heck, people couldn't even predict the fall of the Berlin wall until it happened. Once you get past 5-10 years, there are so many variables that it's almost impossible to make any reliable predictions.
In the shorter term, my impression is that Russia is far from being a market economy, and I'm somewhat concerned that democracy isn't as well rooted there as I might like, but "collapse" is a strong word. I think Russia will muddle through, somehow.

USSR collapsed because Russia cannot bind the Soviet Republics into one solid group due to its system. If no change is adopted in their system, Russia is set to collapse even before 2050.

I think they're longing for the old days of the Reds. They were much more powerful then. Also look at the active political parties in Russia now! Almost all have "people's" or "red" in the title.
They'll never return fully to the USSR days but i still wouldn't trust them

It would help if you gave some basis for you're statement.
Well, not everyone is happy with the current democracy, and the economy isn't to hot at times, but I know Russia has just signed an international deal with South Africa (the highest gold producing country in the world) so things might start to look up for both countries, who knows.
